vehReports Mobile — run inspections from your pocket
iOS and Android apps purpose-built for the yard. Capture watermarked photos with the device camera, mark damage zones on a vehicle diagram with a thumb, take a signature on the same screen, and pull live DVLA + MOT data over 4G. Works offline, syncs when you're back on signal.

Built around how UK fleets actually work
Built for the yard
Big tap targets, sunlight-readable contrast, glove-friendly. Designed for the people doing the work, not desk users.
Offline-first
Walkarounds, photos and signatures are stored locally and queued. Sync happens automatically when the device reconnects. Underground depots and dead-zone yards work the same as anywhere else.
Camera with auto-watermark
Every photo is stamped with date, time, vehicle reg and the inspecting user before it leaves the device. The audit chain starts at capture, not at upload.
Signature on the same screen
Hand the phone or tablet to the customer at the end of a handover. Finger or stylus signature is captured at full resolution and tied to the report.
DVLA + MOT on the move
Type a registration on a phone and the DVLA record, MOT history and vehicle history checks merge into the inspection — same flow as the web platform.
Push notifications
New rental hand-out, damage dispute opened, maintenance defect raised — push notifications keep managers in the loop without opening a tab.
A van rental driver completes a handover in a basement car park with no signal
Customer collects the van from a city-centre underground depot — no mobile signal, no Wi-Fi. The depot agent runs the outbound walkaround on the iPad: 12 photos, damage zones marked, fuel and odometer captured, customer signature taken. Everything stored locally. When the iPad surfaces on the depot Wi-Fi an hour later, the full report syncs in seconds — and the customer's email PDF arrives without anyone touching the office computer.
Frequently asked questions
Which devices does the app run on? +
iOS 15+ (iPhone and iPad) and Android 9+. The app is optimised for handheld use in the yard — large tap targets, sunlight-readable contrast, one-thumb operation where possible.
Does it work offline? +
Yes. Walkarounds, damage zones, photos and signatures are captured locally and queue up to sync when the device gets a signal again. Dead-zone yards and underground depots are not a problem.
Do my drivers need their own logins? +
Each driver gets their own account under your parent account so every action is attributed to a named user. Roles control what each driver can do — most drivers only need walkaround + signature permissions, not full admin access.
How does the mobile data sync back to the web platform? +
It's the same account and the same data. Photos, signatures, damage flags and report records sync to the central vehReports database — when a depot manager opens the web dashboard, the report a driver just signed in the yard is already there.
Is there a separate cost for the mobile app? +
No. The app is included with every vehReports account. You only spend credits when a final inspection or rental agreement is generated — the same £1-per-report pricing applies whether the report was made on a phone, tablet or laptop.
