vehReports gets new features and improvements regularly, and you don't need to go hunting for release notes to keep up. This article explains where to find the in-app changelog, how to be told about the bigger changes by email, and what to expect when something new lands.

Where do I find what's changed?

The Updates area inside vehReports is the in-app changelog. It's where new features and improvements are announced, so you can see what's changed without leaving the app or checking your inbox.

Open it from the support area of the app, alongside support tickets. Each entry describes what's new in plain terms — what it does, and whether you need to do anything. Most updates are additive: they add a feature or polish an existing one, and they need nothing from you.

There's no separate download or update to install. vehReports runs in your browser, so improvements appear automatically the next time you load the app — the Updates area simply tells you what those improvements were.

Will I be told about big changes?

Yes, if you opt in. You can switch on product-update notifications so the more significant changes reach you by email rather than only appearing in the Updates area.

Set this under your notification preferences. Notifications are grouped into three tiers — operational (the day-to-day messages about your reports, agreements and credits), product-updates (announcements about new features), and marketing (which is off by default). Turning on the product-updates tier means the headline changes are emailed to you; the smaller tweaks still appear in the in-app Updates area.

Each person on your team chooses their own preferences, so you can decide who on the team wants to hear about new features and who would rather not. If you'd prefer to stay informed without the emails, leave product-update notifications off and just check the Updates area when it suits you.

How will the notification reach me — is there an inbox in the app?

By email (and, where you've enabled it, SMS). vehReports delivers notifications to you directly — there's no in-app notification inbox or bell to keep an eye on. If you've opted into product-update notifications, the announcement lands in your email; if you haven't, you'll find it in the Updates area whenever you next look. How often does vehReports change?

We improve the product regularly. Most changes are additive and need nothing from you — a new option in a template, a tidier screen, a faster export. Where something does need your attention, we call it out clearly in the Updates area so it doesn't catch you out.

Because updates are rolled out for everyone automatically, you're always on the latest version. You won't be asked to upgrade or migrate anything yourself.

Will an update change how I'm billed or use up my credits?

No. Reading the Updates area, opting into product-update notifications and using any new feature we announce are all free. The only two actions that ever use a credit are signing off an inspection report and signing a rental agreement — one credit (about £1) each. What if an update changes something I rely on?

We aim to make changes additive, so existing behaviour generally carries on as before. When an update changes how something works — rather than just adding to it — the Updates entry explains what's different and what, if anything, you need to do. If a change affects you and the explanation doesn't cover your situation, raise a support ticket and we'll help you work through it.
